Interview with Andrés Castrillo Ferrer. The photo-deconstructed city.

    We have spoken with Andrés Castrillo Ferrer, Valencia based engineer and artist due to his first UK exhibition. The Grant Bradley Gallery, Bristol, offered the “Selected Wall” to his work. This image magician has many things to tell and many more to show. Let us carry on the session.

     Hemos charlado con Andrés Castrillo Ferrer, artista e ingeniero valenciano que ha expuesto en Reino Unido por primera vez. La galería Grant Bradley, Bristol, ha dedicado su “Selected Wall” para este mago de la imagen con muchas cosas que decir y muchísimas más que enseñar. Que nunca se apague la cámara.

Art's home

     During the last weekend, bristolians (wherever their origin) were able to enjoy The Southbank Bristol Arts Trail. A free exhibitions weekend throughout the neighbourhood: houses, coffees, social centres, etc...Every year the trail is specialized about a specific theme. This time it was the robot trend. It doesn't matter you cannot participate if don't present robot-like shows, so every artist was invited to show their artworks (either to sale or not to sale), but robots ruled this year. By twist of fate, this weekend has been lovely regarding to weather and the one who writes this post wandered the city to bring here some images of what went on out there.

    You pop in any house saying Hi! and walk around their living room and elsewhere glancing pictures, sculptures, pottery, prints, jewellery and more art and craft and afterwards you wave your hand respectfully because you were at art's home.

En la casa del Arte

    Durante este pasado fin de semana, bristoleños y bristoleñas, independientemente de su lugar de origen, hemos podido disfrutar del Southbank Bristol Arts Trail. Un fin de semana de exhibiciones gratuitas en diferentes lugares del barrio: casas, cafeterías, centros sociales, etc... Cada año el festival se especializa en una temática, y este año han sido los robots. Esto no quiere decir que si no exhibes un robot no puedes participar, ya que cualquier artista estaba invitado a mostrar su obra (para la venta al público o no), pero el rollo robot mandó en esta edición. Por caprichos del destino, este fin de semana ha hecho un tiempo veraniego (españolamente hablando) y el que escribe se ha pateado la ciudad para traeros algunas imágenes de lo que pudo verse y hacerse en la ciudad.

    Te presentas en la casa de un desconocido, dices "hello!" y te paseas por su salón y alrededores contemplando sus pinturas, esculturas, cerámicas, impresiones, joyería y demás art & craft para despedirte con el mayor de los respetos, porque has estado en la casa del arte.
